Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva believes that the hard work of the club’s coaching staff is the main factor behind their success

Thomas Tuchel’s side are on a historic record-breaking run in Ligue 1 this season after winning all 14 of their opening games.

PSG have even scored 46 league goals already and conceded just seven times.

Aside from that, things in the Champions League appear to be swinging back into their favour with Wednesday’s 2-1 win over Liverpool moving them into a last-16 qualification spot in Group C.

Many observers have credited the reason behind PSG’s success due to the financial wealth of club chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi and his firm Qatar Sports Investments.

In just the space of a year, Al-Khelaifi has spent over €400m on signing both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

But Silva believes the credit lies with the coaches at PSG due to all the work they do behind the scenes.

Ronaldo can’t handle Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano

With goals from Gimenez and Godin during the second half, Atletico Madrid defeated Cristiano Ronaldo's Juventus at the Wanda Metropolitano. It was the crucial day...

“No secret. It’s just about hard work, the hard work of the coaching staff who give us lots of information,” Silva told UEFA.com.

“When we go out onto the pitch, we know everything we have to do to win. Sometimes, it’s difficult, and sometimes it’s less difficult. ”

Goals from Juan Bernat and Neymar sealed a 2-1 win for PSG over Liverpool in the Champions League.

“We showed great character. So, we must continue like that. We need to work hard.

“Tomorrow, we must rest and take it easy in order to recover. We need to concentrate on the match against Bordeaux on Sunday because it’s also a difficult game.”

PSG will face Red Star Belgrade away for their final Group B fixture on December 11.
