Despite a Europe League final and some swift transfer signings, bookmakers have made Arsenal favourites to finish sixth in this season’s Premier League race.

With Aaron Ramsey being considered a loss for the North London club, especially considering their frailties in midfield. The signings of Kieran Tierney (Celtic), David Luiz (Chelsea) and William Saliba (St Etienne) are certainly much-needed help, considering the Gunner’s ever-present defensive problems.

Regardless of all of this, bookmakers have not seen them fit to finish higher than United or Chelsea and a much more resilient Arsenal will need to turn up this season if they are to do so.

With the team beginning to click come the latter stages of last season. A sixth-place prediction may be slightly harsh on an improving squad.
