Alaba a priority for Man City.

Manchester City have identified Bayern Munich’s David Alaba as one of their top targets for the summer. The Sky Blues have already started talks with Bayern over his transfer, with Leroy Sane moving to the other side.

A versatile player, the Austrian is proficient in playing at left-back or as a center-back. Pep Guardiola is planning a squad rebuild and strengthening defense is his primary focus. [The Guardian]

Arsenal eyeing Griezmann move.

Arsenal are being linked with a surprise move for FC Barcelona’s Antoine Griezmann. A potential swap deal is being talked up that could see Matteo Guendouzi and/or Pierre-Emerick move to Camp Nou.

Griezmann has struggled for form ever since his big-money switch from Atletico Madrid to Barca last summer. Barca, as a result, are open to offloading him when the transfer market opens. [Express]

Monaco want to bring in Aurier.

AS Monaco are planning on approaching Tottenham over the potential signing of Serge Aurier. Former Spurs man Paul Mitchell now oversees recruitment at Monaco and he is keen on bringing in Aurier.

The Ivory Coast international gained unwanted traction for social distancing infractions during the lockdown. However, he remains Jose Mourinho’s first-choice right-back. [Sky Sports]

Pochettino turn down Benfica.

Mauricio Pochettino has rejected the prospect of taking over Benfica as the head coach. Pochettino is one of several high-profile managers to have shown reluctance in taking the vacant post at the Primeira Liga side. The likes of Massimiliano Allegri, Ernesto Valverde, and Laurent Blanc have all also previously turned down the job offer. [A Bola]

Dortmund ready to rival Man United for Grealish.

Borussia Dortmund have emerged as surprise candidates to sign Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish. The German side are ready to make a move for him as soon as the market opens.
