AC Milan midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko hinted that he would be open to the idea of remaining at the club next season
The 24-year-old arrived at the San Siro in the summer on a season-long loan deal from Chelsea after a disastrous debut campaign.
Despite initially struggling at Milan, Bakayoko has managed to turn things around in Italy with 13 starts in the club’s last 15 games across all competitions.
The Rossoneri can sign Bakayoko permanently this summer and it appears the Frenchman would be interested in remaining where he is.
“I don’t think anything special has changed,” Bakayoko told MilanNews.it.
“I’ve carried on training and working hard, and when you do that things change.
“I’m happy because I’m playing well with the team. The future? I’m happy here but it’s not my decision, it’s Milan and Chelsea’s.
“We’ll talk at the end of the season to see what we can do.”
Gennaro Gattuso’s side defeated SPAL 2-1 on Saturday in the Serie A to end a four-match goalless and winless run.
Spanish winger Samu Castillejo and Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain were the goalscorers for Milan, who are fifth in the standings.
