American forward Timothy Weah is delighted to have completed a loan move from Paris Saint-Germain to Celtic
The 18-year-old, son of Liberia legend George Weah, has joined Celtic on loan for the remainder of this season after making just two appearances in Ligue 1 at PSG.
However, the French champions remain confident in Weah’s potential and awarded him a new contract before sanctioning his loan move to Scotland.
Now the teenager is thrilled to be at Celtic and is looking forward to playing his part of the club as they chase an eighth successive Scottish Premiership (SPL) crown.
“It’s a fantastic honour to sign for such a historic club, and I’m really looking forward to this opportunity,” Weah told the club website.
“I’m also delighted to be working with such a great coach and great team-mates, and I’m looking forward so much to be playing in front of some of the best and most passionate fans on the planet. I’m so happy and so excited.”
Brendon Rodger’s side will take on Airdrieonians in the Scottish Cup fourth round on January 19 for their first match of 2019.
