Gary Cahill recalls the ‘horrible’ ending to his Chelsea career

Gary Cahill admitted his final season at Chelsea was a "horrible" experience, but now hopes to move on as he settles in at Crystal Palace.

Les Ferdinand was a prolific striker, who netted 149 goals in 351 appearances, placing himself in 10th on the all-time goalscorers table.

He came the closest in the 1995-96 campaign when his Newcastle United side had a 10-points advantage ahead of Machester United in mid-season but lost the title to the Red Devils finishing four points behind them.

Ferdinand was awarded the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award, just a small consolation for missing out on the Premier League trophy.
