Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has turned the fortunes of Manchester United and they are ready to challenge Liverpool’s might in Premier League.

Sir Alex Ferguson would not have appreciated Liverpool breaking their 30-year jinx. During his tenure, he changed the fortunes of Manchester United and made them the most dominant force in Premier League.

His departure saw the Red Devils face one calamity after another. But that trend has been put to a stop under Jose Mourinho first and now with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Norwegian has brought semblance to a squad that looked in disarray under Mourinho. Paul Pogba had come under fire during this transition period but his return from injury has shown why Real Madrid covet him so much.

Pogba’s renaissance is just the top of iceberg, and a lot of good work has been poured into the club behind the scenes. Following the coronavirus lockdown, the Red Devils are shown a marked improvement and can challenge for the title next season.

Here are three reasons why United fans can be hopeful about the Premier League title returning to Old Trafford.

Transfer Strategy

The much-lamented Ed Woodward and his supporting cast have begun to master the difficult arts. It was not the case when Sir Alex left but under his former protegee, it is coming to fruition.

Manchester United signed four players last season and everyone of them have made their mark. Wan Bissaka and Harry Maguire have shored up their defense. On the other end of the pitch, Daniel James and Bruno Fernandes made an impact from the get go.

Jadon Sancho has been linked with a move to Old Trafford and his addition will only make them more devastating as a unit.

General Pogba

It seems like ages ago when Paul Pogba was the most expensive footballer of all time. The expectations and the tactics that welcomed him did not suit his game but not anymore.

Solskjaer has built a team that makes the most of Pogba’s talents. The Frenchman has thrived as a result and United have benefited as a result.

Settled Attack

Romelu Lukaku was unhappy under Solskjaer and Alexis Sanchez had a torrid time with United. The duo were allowed to leave with only Daniel James added to the dressing room.

United now have one of the best if not the best attacking trio in the Premier League. they are only behind Liverpool and that is a huge accomplishment.

Marcus Rashford, Daniel James, and Anthony Martial have proven their case. Mason Greenwood’s rise has also helped their cause. For the first time in years, United have a settled attack and they are delivering to the fans content.
