Italian Serie A is back this coming week with some really great matches on show with Juventus and Napoli set to dominate proceedings.

The Italian Serie A season is set to kick off later this week with Parma set to take on reigning champions Juventus.

While the reigning champions have assembled quite a squad, one cannot expect the likes of Napoli and Inter Milan to fade away since both have invested shrewdly as well.

Parma V Juventus

Parma start their Serie A campaign at home against Maurizio Sarri’s Juventus and could be in for a tough time. The Turin giants have invested heavily in new players this season and are stronger than ever.

The likes of Matthijs de Ligt, Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey further strengthen a team that is looking to finally win the Champions League.

The game seems to be a one-sided affair and Juventus are expected to romp to a routine win. In the last seven matches between the two sides, Parma have won just one. Last season in the Serie A, Parma did manage to hold them to a 3-3 draw in Turin.

Predicted score-line: Parma 0-3 Juventus

Fiorentia V Napoli

While Napoli haven’t been able to spend as extravagantly as Juventus, Carlo Ancelotti’s side have made shrewd signings. Kostas Manolas was brought from AS Roma to pair up with Kalidou Koulibaly. Elif Elmas comes from Fenerbahce with the future in mind while young Giovanni Di Lorenzo comes from Empoli after impressing in the Serie A last season.

The game against Fiorentina isn’t going to be an easy one even though Vincenzo Montella’s side are struggling.

However, Napoli are going to prove to be too strong for La Viola who could be in for another tough campaign.

Predicted final score: Fiorentian 1-2 Napoli

Udinese V Milan

Marco Giampaolo’s men take on Udinese in their first Serie A game of the season with a lot of hopes for a better campaign. With Paolo Maldini back in a capacity where he can make a lot of difference, Milan are set for a different season.

While they’re not expected to compete for top honors, the San Siro giants are going to be more consistent under a manager who is tactically very sound. The game against Udinese would be a great audition for the manager and his charges.

However, the Rossoneri is going to struggle against Udinese who will be defending in numbers.

Predicted final score: Udinese 1-1 Milan

SPAL V Atalanta

After qualifying for the Champions League following a fourth placed finish, the Bergamo side are set for another great season in the Serie A. Gian Piero Gasperini continues to prove a point to his detractors through this team that has a lot of talent in the squad.

The game against SPAL is a great way to start off the new Serie A campaign strongly and with a signal that last season’s exploits weren’t a flash in the pan.

Inter Milan V Lecce

After winning the Serie A on multiple occasions with Juventus, Antonio Conte looks set to try and do the same with Inter. The former Chelsea manager has welcomed some really exciting players to the fold including Romelu Lukaku and would be eager to start off with a convincing win over Lecce.

Predicted final score: Inter 4-0 Lecce
