Paris Saint Germain romped to yet another Ligue 1 title but in the process have lost yet another youth academy graduate to European rivals.

Paris is a hub of French football but before PSG’s rise, its youth was plying its trade across Europe. Paul Pogba, and Kylian Mbappe are just two names who found refuge away from the French capital.

Cash influx at PSG was supposed to allow the club to capitalize on the city’s youth. However, it has not worked in that fashion.

Paris Saint Germain continue to hemorrhage youth start at a rapid pace. Their quality is not under question but the club’s strategy is.

Tanguy Nianzou is the latest player to take this approach. The young defender made 13 appearances for Thomas Tuchel but decided to leave even though opportunities should have increased with Thiago Silva leaving.

Here are four players who have left the Parisian giants for pastures green elsewhere.

Kingsley Coman

Juventus took in Paul Pogba and soon after poached Kingsley Coman. Serie A did not suit him and soon after he was on the books of Bayern Munich. With five seasons in Bavaria, he is a first team regular and has made 158 competitive appearances for them.

Moussa Dembele

Fulham were quick to seduce Moussa Dembele away from the French capital. PSG allowed the young attacker to leave as they claimed to have better player on their books. They would be ruing that decision as Dembele is back in Ligue 1 with Olympique Lyon.

Jonathan Ikone

The production unit at PSG has brought forward a plethora of attacking talents. Jonathan Ikone is one of those many. After failing to get first team minutes, he earned a move to LOSC Lille and has not looked back since. He was an everpresent figure for Lille this season and chipped in with 3 goals and 6 assists.

Christopher Nkunku

We started off with well known names and gradually moved into the realm of lesser known entities. Nkunku is a special talent making waves at RB Leipzig. The young attacking midfielder supplied Werner and Co. with 13 assists, while also chipping in with 5 goals.
