1. Luka Modric
Luka Modric is the best-ever graduate of the Dinamo Zagreb youth academy. The midfielder made his debut as a loaned player at Zrinjski Mostar in the Bosnian Premier League back in 2003.
He won the Croatian Prva HNL three times with the Blues, before moving to Tottenham in the summer of 2008.
Modric established himself as one of the most creative playmakers in his time at White Hart Lane, earning the interest of many English and European football giants.
Real Madrid signed the Croatian midfielder in 2012 for an approximate £30 million transfer fee. Modric is one of the leaders of Madrid’s current generation which won four Champions League titles in five years.
His best individual season came in the previous campaign when he captained the Croatian national team to their first-ever FIFA World Cup Final.
He was named the best player of the tournament and won the Ballon d’Or for 2018, ending Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi’s domination as the best footballers in the World.
