This was arguably what started a brilliant career for Bastian Schweinsteiger, his very first year at Bayern Munich.
The man would go on to become one of the club’s most revered players in modern history, and he would go through an evolution in the process.
Not even Bastian himself imagined that he would be part of such a successful era in Bayern Munich’s history.
After only two training sessions on the first squad, manager Ottmar Hitzfeld decided to hand Bastian his debut.
It was during a Champions League match against Lens, Schweinsteiger was only 18 years old when it happened in 2002.
