The Rossoneri is a new name that’s cropped up over the past week as doubts over Rakitic’s future grows.
The Chief Football Officer Zvonimir Boban has allegedly made Rakitic a top target, and feels he would be a valuable asset for AC Milan.
While this would undoubtedly be true, Milan’s terrible form this season could be a turn-off for the Croatian. Currently, the club are down in 13th-place in the Serie A and could fall further down the order if they lose to Juventus today.
And the lure of no European football whatsoever both now and next season makes Milan an unlikely option for Rakitic.
