Cristiano Ronaldo scored four and even five goals in a single La Liga game during his time at Real Madrid, but his best performance in the Spanish League came in April 2012, when Los Blancos faced Atletico in the second Madrid Derby of the season.

Real was the leader on the table back then and simply had to win the derby, as their next away game was against the title contenders and their biggest rivals, FC Barcelona.

Ronaldo scored the opener in the first half, while Falcao put pressure on the Whites, netting the equalizer for Atletico. However, Cristiano took the matters in his own hands, first completing his hat-trick and then assisting for Jose Callejon to secure a very important 4-1 victory for Real Madrid.

He also netted the winner at Camp Nou 10 days later and finally won the Spanish Championship in his third season at Santiago Bernabeu.
