Santi Cazorla’s return to football has been like a fairy-tale this season. His injury problems have been well documented and the effort to get back to playing has been phenomenal.

While his side were beaten by Valencia in this game, the former Arsenal man reminded everyone just how superb a player he is.

No player could get near his 113 touches, nor could they match his 93 passes, 83 accurate passes or four successful tackles.

This was as complete a performance as you can get from a midfielder. Cazorla even got himself on the scoresheet by converting a penalty. Cazorla was sublime, regardless of the result.
