Even though we know that the Algerian international didn’t exactly play many matches at Manchester City during his first season, he did make a positive impact.
Pep Guardiola is slowly mending the mistakes he has made in the past in regards to transfers.
The Catalan manager certainly did a good job bringing Riyad Mahrez to an already star-studded constellation of players.
Mahrez did score a goal in the final match of the season that gave the Citizens their second consecutive Premier League title.
Pep Guardiola even expects him to improve next season and help his teammates even more with their quest to a third straight trophy.
