PSG shocked everyone when they won the signature for Paredes from right under Chelsea’s noses.
It promised to be the coup of the 2019 January transfer window.
While Paredes’ arrival was a huge relief for PSG, who were lacking a central midfielder at the time. It came in light of injuries to Marco Verratti and Lassana Diarra’s injuries along with Adrien Rabiot’s suspension
12 months on, however, the Argentine hasn’t quite made the impact many expected of him.
Instead, Paredes has fallen down the pecking order this season following the summer arrival of Idrissa Gueye from Everton.
