When he was first taken by the Spanish giants as an academy product, Samuel Eto’o truly felt like he would succeed with Los Blancos.
However, president Florentino Perez refused to sign him for the first squad and kept sending him out on loans during the start of his career.
Samu first played for Leganes and Espanyol with little success, but he got tired of being treated like that by Real Madrid and accepted getting transferred to Mallorca for over €5 million.
Samuel vowed to get his revenge from Real Madrid in the future, he became one of the best strikers in La Liga during his time in Mallorca.
