Even though Fernando Santos is currently living the most successful era in Portuguese football history, the man will someday leave the squad.

Mourinho values teaching more than his titles

Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho used to work as a physical education teacher, and he loved teaching more than he loves the titles he has won in football.

Jose Mourinho’s biggest dream is to coach his national team in a major competition such as the World Cup or the Euros.

All the manager needs to do is patiently wait for his opportunity, but he may not have a chance to coach Cristiano Ronaldo in Portugal before he retires.

Santos is doing a fantastic job right now, there is no chance of him leaving anytime soon.

Ronaldo will get to the Qatar World Cup and the next Euros but Mourinho might not have his chance to coach his country until after those competitions.

  1. Greece. Parking the bus all the way. And currently the Greeks are looking for a new coach. Good for Jose to test the waters a little bit. Where if he fails he won’t be critisized by the international community due to the disastrous last 5 years this squad has had. But if he gets them to a big competition again, oh boy his stock will shoot right back up again!
