Aston Villa stole the show on Saturday afternoon, putting five past Norwich City in the clash of the newly-promoted sides.
Brazilian forward Wesley was the Man of the Match with an impressive performance at Carrow Road. The 22-year-old scored twice within 15 minutes, giving Villa an early 2-0 lead in the first third of the game.
He had a chance to complete his first Premier League hat-trick in the 38th minute, but Norwich’s goalkeeper Michael McGovern saved his penalty, depriving the Brazilian of such an achievement.
Wesley played an excellent second half as well and noted his first assist in the league during the late stage of the match, when Douglas Luis scored to set the final score at Carrow Road.
