3. Giuseppe Meazzа

Giuseppe Meazza is one of the best players Italy has produced and probably the first footballing superstar in the country.

He started his career at Inter and spent 13 seasons with the Nerrazuri in the period between 1927 and 1940.

The striker won the Serie A three times and scored a total 282 goals for the club, before joining his childhood club – AC Milan.

However, he will always be remembered as an Inter legend, as the San Siro stadium is officially called Stadio Giuseppe Meazza when the Black and Blues play their home games.

He won two World Cups with Italy, captaining his country in one and winning the Golden Ball in the other.
