Having spent the early days of his career in French Ligue 1, Emmanuel Adebayor moved to England in January 2006 signing for Arsenal FC.

The forward reached his peak in the 2007-08 campaign, netting 24 goals in 36 Premier League appearances for the Gunners. He won the BBC Goal of the Season award at the end of the season and was named African Player of the Year at the end of 2008.

Adebayor switched Arsenal for Manchester City in 2009 and spent six months on loan at Real Madrid before joining Tottenham in the summer of 2011.

He made 113 appearances for the Spurs, netting 42 goals across all competitions.
