5. Gonzalo Higuain – 58 goals
Starting off this list of Mourinho players with the most goals is perhaps a surprise entry in ‘El Pipita’.
The Argentine striker played a critical role in Real Madrid’s league title success in 2011/12 to end Barcelona’s domination. He scored 22 goals that season, outscoring even Karim Benzema.
Higuain continued to impress under Jose Mourinho in the Spanish capital by scoring the opener in a 2-1 win over Barcelona in August 2012 to win Real Madrid the Spanish Supercup.
Despite his impact on the pitch, however, Higuain wasn’t always an automatic starter. Therefore, he left for Napoli in the summer of 2013.
