While few people are likely to remember Amoroso, they will definitely know who Franck Ribery is.

His arrival saw Bayern breaking their own club record, as well as setting a new Bundesliga one in the process. It’s a price he fully justified.

Ribery went on to spend 12 years at Bayern, making 425 appearances and scoring 124 goals before his retirement this summer.

During those 12 years, he won 23 trophies in total, including nine Bundesliga titles and a Champions League success. Ribery is a bonafide Bundesliga and Bayern legend.
