When Wolfsburg paid a club record and Bundesliga record price for Julian Draxler in 2015, it was a sign they were ready to compete.

The German club believed they were signing the next big thing in German football and a player who could push them towards the title.

Sadly Draxler did not live up to expectations. Early on it was apparent that he and Wolfsburg were not a good fit.

He made just 45 appearances for the Wolves, scoring eight goals in total, before moving on to PSG in 2016.
