Making the decision to become a professional football manager isn’t easy for anyone, becoming successful at it requires several failed first attempts in any profession and football is no exception.

The most recent Thierry Henry fiasco at AS Monaco made us remember a number of managers who are wildly successful now, but they weren’t as lucky on their very first crack at this very complicated job that requires so many years of studying and preparation.
