With Manchester City playing early on Saturday, the pressure could be back on Liverpool by the time they face Cardiff on Sunday.

The title race is out of their hands at this moment in time. They simply have to win all of their games and hope City slip up at some point.

It was these kind of games Liverpool used to struggle in, though. The Reds often struggled to find a way to break down and get the points against teams who sat back and defended deep.

That is what Cardiff will be doing this weekend, and it will be interesting to see how the Reds respond. A comfortable victory will show that they’ve truly moved forward.
