Defeat to Barcelona in midweek was Manchester United’s fourth away defeat on the bounce, the first time that’s happened since 1999.

Things are not going quite as well as they once were for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the pressure is now on.

He and his side will be desperate to avoid a fifth straight defeat at Goodison Park on Sunday. If they don’t, further questions will start to be asked.

Whether they can, remains to be seen. Chelsea and Arsenal have both been beaten on Merseyside in recent weeks, while Liverpool dropped points there as well. It’s by no means a comfortable place to go.
