There’s always one side at the bottom of the table that goes on a dreadful run of form and finds themselves caught in the relegation mix. This year its proved to be Brighton.

The Seagulls have won just two league games since the start of the year. As a result, they now find themselves only five points ahead of Cardiff City in 18th.

This weekend allows them to escape trouble, though. They take on Bournemouth, a side they’ve who’ve won only three games in 2019 themselves and who are terrible on the road.

With Cardiff and Burnley facing each other as well, a win could move Brighton clear of the trouble at the bottom of the table. Whether they take the opportunity remains to be seen.
