According to Urbano Cairo, the team has his objectives well planned and will do their best they can to get stronger for the 2019-2020 season.

Torino ended up in the 7th position of the Italian Lega Serie A table with 63 points.

The team missed European competitions just by two points, which means they have to be stronger next season if they want to achieve something.

And president Urbano Cairo knows this and is working towards a great summer transfer window.

“We played up until the end, and unfortunately we were not able to make the Europa League, at times we were even in a Champions League position,” he told Gianluca Di Marzio.

“We were a few points short, during the beginning of the season we lost out on a few decisions that hurt us.”

“What do we need? We redeemed Ola Aina for a big fee, €10m, and we redeemed Ansaldi and Djidji,” he continued.

“We redeemed all of the players who we had on loan: we only have our own players.”

“On what we need, I want to keep my cards close to my chest: we have clear ideas on what we can do to reinforce ourselves, I will not say too much,” he said.

“I watched, [Belotti] he played a great match: he had a wonderful assist for Barella and another for Chiesa.”

“He was constantly involved, finding himself in spaces: he did what does best,” the Torino president concluded.
