Lucas Torreira is apparently considering his future at Arsenal as his agent hints at a potential move.
Lucas Torreira arrived at the Emirates Stadium in the summer of 2018 from Sampdoria. He is only two years into a five year deal with the Gunners.
However, according to his agent, he may already be looking to leave North London and return to somewhere he has succeeded before is his preferred choice.
Pablo Bentancur claims that the player has had some differences of opinion with the coaching staff, as well as fitness issues.
In an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb, Bentancur insinuates his client may be in the market for a move.
“Lucas had been in a bit of a bad mood over some technical differences, then he recovered.”
“Today he is completely recovered, I believe he will be a market man, meaning he will be high demand when the transfer window opens.”
“I will have to speak to Arsenal.”
“The player would love to return to Italy.”
It is no secret that Arsenal’s transfer budget is tight, and selling may be more of a must than an option. Perhaps Torreira moving on could generate the necessary funds to bring in some of Mikel Arteta’s top targets?
