Lucas Torreira proved to be a high-quality midfielder when he arrived at Arsenal, making the difference from day one.
However, this season saw the midfielder fall out of favor with Unai Emery.
The Gunners’ results reflected Torreira’s form as both player and club have been struggling.
Talks of Torreira leaving London increased recently, and now the midfielder just confirmed them.
“I need to be focused and when the transfer period arrives we will see what happens.
“I don’t know what will happen in the future. But I would like to be able to play for Boca.
“It’s a dream I have for what that institution represents,” he said, as quoted by Daily Mail.
Many complained about Emery playing Torreira too high up the pitch.
It seems that the relationship between the player and the club has deteriorated to the point of no return.
