Tanguy Ndombele is set to leave Olympique Lyonnais this summer as the English giants look to do something that they have never done in recent summers.
For several months, Tanguy Ndombele has been linked with a move to the Premier League. The likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham have all been linked with the all-action midfielder. However, it appears that Spurs are the only side that have shown serious interest.
According to the Football Insider, the Londoners are looking to wrap up the signing of Ndombele as quickly as possible. The club could lose Cristian Eriksen this summer. Meanwhile the likes of Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama haven’t shown great form.
In their place, Tanguy Ndombele is being considered the club’s only option. Spurs are so desperate to sign the young France international that they are going to act in a very un-Tottenham way. Reports claim that after seeing one bid turned down by Lyon, Spurs are going to come with an improved offer.
Mauricio Pochettino is a huge fan of the Lyon midfielder and does not want to lose out to anyone for his signature. And it appears that Daniel Lewy is also changing his stance having made the club’s manager wait all through last summer. Spurs did not sign a single player in the summer of 2018 but this summer is bound to be different.
Spurs are looking to pay the youngster € 300,000 per week which puts him on par with Harry Kane as the top earner at the club. Indeed, Tanguy Ndombele would be enticed by such an offer.
However, money isn’t the only reason why Ndombele would want to leave Rhone. The Frenchman knows that the project of Tottenham is an amazing one. And under the guidance of a manager of Pochettino’s calibre, Ndombele definitely has a chance to further his development.
