The late victory against Internazionale Milano at Wembley Stadium keeps the dream alive for Tottenham Hotspur, the can still qualify.

After a rocky start in the Champions League this season with two defeats and a draw in the first three matches, Tottenham Hotspur was finally able to pick up their slack in the last two with victories that leave them with great chances to qualify to the next round.

They heroically defeated Internazionale Milano this Wednesday with a late winner scored by Christian Eriksen after finishing a beautiful collective play, in which Dele Alli provided the assist to the Danish midfielder.

This victory gave 7 points to the Spurs, and leaves them with an identical goal average with the Italian club. This result will leave everything open for the final fixture of the Group of Death that will be played in December.

Inter has the “easier” game from both squads, as they will get visited by an already eliminated PSV Eindhoven that will only play for honor in this last match.

The Dutch champions even lost all chances to get a ticket to the Europa League, after getting one of the worst positions in the whole tournament with practically no chances of improvement.

While there have been some cases in the past where the already eliminated squad gives an unexpected performance, Tottenham Hotspur cannot rely on what PSV Eindhoven does against Internazionale Milano.

Harry Kane already told BT Sports that his squad will arrive at Camp Nou Stadium with “Guns Blazing” for the last match of this dreaded Group of Death, but there is a major factor that we need to consider for this game.

The fact that FC Barcelona actually won its fifth match against PSV this Wednesday thanks to Lionel Messi’s heroics, leaves the Catalan club with a great chance to rest many of the top players for the game against Tottenham Hotspur.

Not even losing the final game will take away their top spot after four wins, one draw, and no defeats throughout the whole group stage.

This nearly perfect run in the season grants Ernesto Valverde the chance to rest his best, which can only be beneficial for the English squad as they will increase their chances of winning this match that will potentially face them against several La Masia players.

Sissoko fuels Pochettino’s exit claims

Moussa Sissoko has disclosed that Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino could leave the club this summer. Pochettino has remained coy about his future at Spurs after...

If Ernesto Valverde decides to play this card (which he probably will), Mauricio Pochettino will be forever grateful to the very club that he has always rejected and jeered due to his Espanyol roots.

After this great midweek result that kept them alive in the competition, the Spurs now have to focus on the next objective in the Premier League.

The North London Derby is upon us, one of the matches in English football with the biggest tradition and a nail-biter that nobody will want to miss next Saturday given how competitive both squads are at the moment.

Pochettino’s squad is fresh out of winning another London Derby against Chelsea, they also won this crucial Champions League match against Internazionale Milano, and they now wish to close the amazing week with a North London Derby victory that would confirm the fantastic work Mauricio Pochettino has been doing for years at Tottenham.

This could easily become the biggest week for the Argentine manager since he started this job for Spurs, we can’ wait for Sunday to get here.
