Lyon and Tottenham have reportedly started discussing terms over a move for midfielder Tanguy Ndombele who is going to cost the Londoners a lot.

Following a successful campaign in which they qualified for the Champions League and even played the final, Tottenham are now busy looking at fresh faces. The London giants did not buy a single player last summer. This was a piece of history Tottenham could have done without.

Regardless, the Spurs have started making moves in the transfer market. At present, the club could really do with a solid midfielder. And it appears that their search for one has led them to the Rhone region of France.

At Olympique Lyon, Tanguy Ndombele is looking a lot like an English Premier League calibre player. The Frenchman is considered one of the best midfielders in France and has won six caps for Les Bleus.

There is no shortage of suitors either. The likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus et al have been linked with the youngster. However, it appears that Tottenham have already started making their moves.

While speaking to Guardian, Les Gones president, Jean-Michel Aulas revealed that he is already speaking with the best of Europe for his player.

“I am negotiating with the biggest European clubs for Ndombele,” Aulas has said.

Just like Daniel Levy, Aulas is a notorious bargainer. The Frenchman values his prized asset at € 75 million. Tottenham on the other hand, are willing to pay €50 million for him.

Tottenham have also held talks with Nicolo Zaniolo of Roma and Donny van de Beek of Ajax. The duo certainly fits the club’s profile. However, nothing has moved forward yet.

Same is the case with Fulham star Ryan Sessegnon. The youngster wants to leave Craven Cottage and wants to play under Mauricio Pochettino. Now that Fulham are relegated, this move seems more likely to happen.
