Yaya Toure names Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta, Lionel Messi, Thierry Henry, and Samuel Eto’o as the best players he has played alongside in his career.

One of the players on whom the foundation of Manchester City‘s rise to becoming a global powerhouse was laid, Yaya Toure guided the club to three Premier League title wins during his eight-year stay.

The four-time African Player of the Year signed for City in 2010 after finding himself going out of favor under Pep Guardiola at Barcelona.

But having won seven titles, including the Champions League, Uefa Super Cup, and the Fifa Club World Cup, Toure’s short span at Barca too was nothing less of being remarkable.

And during a virtual chat session on FIFA’s Instagram page, the 36-year old selected Camp Nou as his favorite ground. He also chose a few players from Barca’s golden generation as his best teammates.

“[Lionel] Messi, [Thierry] Henry, [Samuel] Eto’o, [Andres] Iniesta and Xavi [Hernandez]. They were unbeatable.”

“Stars like Ronaldo [Nazario] and [Diego] Maradona have played there.

“I was also able to play there with Messi, Eto’o, Henry, [Dani] Alves, Iniesta, etc. I’m grateful for that time of my life.”
