Wilfried Zaha wants a move away from Crystal Palace and Andros Townsend believes he can play at the top European clubs of his choice.

There is no denying the fact that Wilfried Zaha has overcome his Manchester United disappointment. He has reinvigorated his career at Selhurst Park and has been linked with top English and European clubs.

The 27-year-old did not have the best of seasons in 2019/20. Nevertheless, he posted decent results as Palace struggled. Despite this, there is no denying his abilities.

Andros Townsend believes in the hype surrounding the Ivory Coast international. He hailed his Crystal Palace teammate as the best player to have played alongside.

Townsend reflected that he would not be surprised if Zaha left for a big club in the current transfer window. While admitting that Palace fans should rejoice if he stays at the club.

“He could play for the very best in the world, he’s the most talented player I’ve played with and he should be playing Champions League,” Townsend told TalkSPORT.

“I’m very grateful that we have him at Palace. If we have him beyond this window, we would be even more grateful and I’m sure he’ll knuckle down and have a great season.”

Zaha has been informed the club about his wish to leave the club. However, he has been priced out of a move as Crystal Palace will not allow him to leave on the cheap.
