Everton up their offer for Wilfried Zaha.
According to Metro.co.uk, Everton is back in the hunt for Wilfried Zaha.
It was widely believed that Everton had given up on the idea. Especially after announcing the signing of Moise Kean from Juventus.
This mornings news tells a different story.
Not only are they still interested, but they are also increasing their offer too.
The offer is believed to be around 65 million pounds in cash plus Cenk Tosun and James McCarthy.
That puts the deal in the 100 million pound range.
Zaha has turned out more than 300 times for the Eagles. He has also scored on 53 occasions.
This is not the first time he has left Selhurst Park. He was disappointing, to say the least in his Manchester United career.
Managing only 4 appearances and no goals.
It is widely believed he struggled with the pressure and expectations. Although to be fair four games is hardly a fair chance either.
The Ivory Coast international has made no secret of his desire to move on.
Arsenal was his first choice. They were immediately put off by his hefty price tag.
Unai Emery has since splashed 72 million pounds on Nicolas Pepe.
That leaves Everton in the driving seat in terms of buyers.
However, Palace feels they are in control of the situation.
They have a player who still has 3 years on his contract. Plus the club does not need money after already selling Aaron Wan-Bissaka to United for 55 million pounds.
This deal, however, may appeal more than any other to Crystal Palace Chairman Steve Parish. Money in the bank plus new signings.
