Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold wants his side to build on the Chelsea win by replicating their 5-0 victory from last season when they face Porto on Wednesday.

Klopp’s men are already in the ascendancy with a 2-0 lead from the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final and Alexander-Arnold is keen for another emphatic victory.

En route to the final last season, the Reds demolished FC Porto on their patch in the last-16 stage.

As reported by Liverpool’s official website, Alexander-Arnold said: ‘It’s always about momentum in football,’ he added.

“When you’re in amongst the wins and grinding out the results, you can’t wait to get to the next game.

“Obviously, we have fond memories of Porto last season, so we’re looking to go there and hopefully replicate what we’ve done.

“We know it’s going to be tough, it’s going to be a difficult test for us. Hopefully, we’ll go there and keep up the momentum.”

In their 5-0 victory at the Estadio do Dragao last season, Sadio Mane netted a hat-trick with Salah and Firmino with the other goals.

Liverpool have been in excellent form recently, winning their last seven games across all competitions, and they go into the clash against Porto off the back of a 2-0 success against Chelsea in the Premier League.
