Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti has opened up on the possibility of signing Tottenham Hotspur full-back Kieran Trippier when the transfer window opens.

Trippier failed to replicate his form last season following an excellent form with England and may reportedly leave at the end of the current campaign.

The 28-year-old has equally spoken of his below-par performance this season and Pochettino is keen on reshuffling the pack to spearhead major honours next season.

Serie A side Napoli have been the club who have expressed the most interest in luring Trippier away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and the England star’s wife was reportedly spotted in Naples looking for schools in the area.

Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti has now hinted a concrete move could be made for the defender in the summer.

“I don’t like talking about players who are elsewhere,” the former Chelsea manager said via talksport.

“Trippier’s wife may well be here because it’s a beautiful city to visit.

“There are players we are evaluating, but there are negotiations, players who might not want to move, etc. There are players we are interested in and that’s all I’ll say.”

Trippier will be involved in Spurs clash against Ajax in the bid to overturn the one-goal deficit on home turf.
