England full-back Kieran Trippier has hailed the support the English international team are receiving from their supporters at the World Cup.
Gareth Southgate’s men have accomplished something quite unexpected – they reached the semi-finals for the first time since 1990, where they will be facing Croatia. If they were to win, they would be heading to the finals for the first time since 1966.
Support for the team has been crazy, as ‘It’s coming home’ has become one of the trending hashtags the English have been using in the past few days.
“It feels amazing. Growing up and watching England, to be a part of it with the lads…it is an amazing achievement form everyone here and we can’t wait to get going against Croatia,” Trippier said, according to SportsMole.
“It gives you goosebumps just to see how happy they are with how we are doing. We just want to keep on improving, stick together as a team and give more moments like that, they are special moments.”
