Tuchel demands respect for teammates from Mbappe

Thomas Tuchel has insisted that Kylian Mbappe must stick to the decisions made by him and respect his teammates.

Paris Saint-Germain secured marched further forward towards securing their ninth Ligue 1 title against Montpellier earlier. The frontline of Neymar, Mbappe, and Icardi all contributed to their 3-1 victory at La Mosson.

As the match neared its end, Thomas Tuchel substituted Kylian Mbappe for Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. But the Frenchman appeared to be not happy with his dismissal as he was seen ignoring his boss.

Ahead of the PSG’s tie against Galatasaray, Tuchel has hit back at his young forward claiming that he should be more welcoming with his decisions.

“Kylian is not difficult to manage but he has a unique mentality,” the PSG manager told as per Goal.

“It is normal that he always wants to win. He must accept being subbed off and show respect to other players like [Eric Maxim] Choupo-Moting.”

Thomas Tuchel also spoke about the upcoming Champions League tie insisting that he was confident of his team’s preparations.

“I am convinced that we are ready for tomorrow,” Tuchel added. 

“All players want to play and it is necessary that they all have time to play with all of the games that are coming.

“We have to show that we can play as a team. It’s what you need to do to accomplish great things.”
