Paris Saint-Germain will be tested to their limits in the Champions League quarter-finals against Atalanta, suggests Thomas Tuchel.

Paris Saint-Germain advanced in the Champions League after beating Borussia Dortmund 3-2 on aggregate in the Round of 16 back in March.

In the quarter-finals of the competition, PSG go against Atalanta, who booked their place in the round following a thumping 8-4 aggregate victory against Valencia.

Atalanta are enjoying an excellent 2019/20 season. Currently sitting at third place in the Serie A table, they are giving the likes of Juventus, Inter Milan, and Lazio a run for their money.

Highlighting the opponents’ strengths, Thomas Tuchel says he is aware that the Italian outfits can make life hard for his side when they meet in Lisbon in August.

“It will be difficult but it’s not a surprise because we will play a quarter-final. There are eight teams that want to win this competition. Every team can win their three games,” Tuchel said, according to Goal.

“It will be a very difficult game [against Atalanta], it will be very tough. They have many qualities.

“We have seen that when they played against Juventus [on Saturday]. It is a balanced and offensive team. It is a very physical team.”
