Ahead of PSG’s Ligue 1 match vs Rennes, manager Thomas Tuchel revealed that the club will try to cope without injured Neymar and Marco Verratti.
PSG manager Thomas Tuchel is currently going through one of the most difficult moments he’s ever had to endure at the French club, he just got the bad news that Neymar and Marco Verratti won’t be a part of the squad for the upcoming months after sustaining serious injuries.
The Italian midfielder is the one who fell injured first with a nasty sprained ankle that may even keep him out of the match against Manchester United in the Champions League, Neymar suffered the same metatarsal injury he got last year and could miss an even longer time without playing at all.
The French club has been struggling to find new players during the winter transfer window, they just got beaten by FC Barcelona in the race to sign Frenkie de Jong from Ajax and they have been turned down by other clubs such as Bayern Munich in their attempt to sign Renato Sanches.
The world is getting more complicated for Tuchel, but he tries to remain positive as time goes by, he thinks that the club can handle these absences because they have good players to replace these fallen soldiers.

The manager spoke to the press ahead of next Sunday’s Ligue 1 match between PSG and Rennes, they asked him specifically about these two injured players.
“We will know more [about Neymar’s injury] in a week,” Tuchel told reporters via Four Four Two.
“Treatment has started, so we will see how it goes. I truly believe that we can handle the situation without Marco and Neymar. It is time to focus on Rennes and nothing else.”
“Neymar and Marco are two key players, but we will find solutions – we have a great squad and players who can always make a difference.”
“Injuries are bad luck. It hurts when you lose key players, but our staff are very intelligent.”
“Marco is mentally strong. He comes [to the training ground] 12 hours every day. For Neymar, it is different.”
“He came for some treatment on Friday. He is sad, I am sad too. It is horrible [to have suffered a recurrence], but we tried to avoid talking about his injury and we made him laugh instead.”
“They are extraordinary players with great quality. We miss them and have no replacements, so it is a challenge to find solutions. We are a strong squad, though.”
Breaking: Neymar limped off with an apparent right foot injury, the same foot he fractured last year, during Paris Saint-Germain's 2-0 French Cup win against Strasbourg.

In regards to replacing Neymar up front, Paris Saint-Germain does still have both Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani, these two players alone have already scored more goals than entire clubs in the French Ligue 1 this season.
That part on the attack seems to be well-covered, but the problem comes when the German manager attempts to get a suitable midfielder to replace Veerratti.
As many of you may already know, this midfielder is quite irreplaceable in any squad that he plays and not having him around truly is a major issue for PSG given that the club is also at odds with midfielder Adrien Rabiot at the moment.
The French player was banned from the club almost completely because he refused to sign a new contract last year, which will give another major club a chance to come to get him for free if they wanted to by the time the next transfer window opens.
This decision from Rabiot to not extend his stay at PSG, has been regarded as a slap in the face to the club by the player and this prompted a reaction that has him completely secluded from the rest of the squad.
Right now, Paris Saint-Germain can’t really afford to be fighting with any of their players but that’s how things are at the moment.
