Thomas Tuchel wasn’t happy with footage showing his players partying into the early hours of Friday morning.
Thomas Tuchel admitted he was surprised to see footage of his players partying in a lavish party.
Edinson Cavani, Mauro Icardi and Angel Di Maria were the joint celebrants of the event and the star studded outing took place in Paris late on Thursday.
The party was taking place two days after PSG lost to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
Footage online showed the players in high spirirts, with Neymar topless and dancing around the room.
With a match against Bordeaux on Sunday, Tuchel has questioned the actions of his players.
“I was really surprised yesterday afternoon when watching the video,” he said at Saturday’s pre-match news conference via Goal.
“You can be sure that we talked internally. I don’t want to talk about it now, but we talked about it within the club and it has to stay that way.”
He added: “You can be sure that we are not happy with this image. We talked together as a team and it is now an internal matter.”
This would not be the first time the 46-year-old has spoken on it this season, with the first coming in a party for Neymar earlier on in the season.
Tuchel feels the unnecessary parties are distractions and could be affecting his players on the pitch. Thinking about recent results, he just might be right.
