Thomas Tuchel has heaped praise on Paris Saint-Germain as he suggests that their recent achievements were a demanding task.
Paris Saint-Germain lifted the Coupe de la Ligue trophy on Friday night after beating Lyon 6-5 on penalties shoot-out.
PSG have now picked up a quadruple of trophies this season to further assert their domestic dominance.
The French giants were declared Ligue 1 champions during the coronavirus hiatus, and have also won the Coupe de France and Trophee des Champions.
Speaking after the full-time whistle at Stade de France, manager Thomas Tuchel appreciated his side for their seemingly undying thirst for glory.
“We did not lose the concentration, the hunger to win, the confidence, we won on penalties and that counts,” the German said, according to Goal.
“We won these four titles, there is a good atmosphere in the locker room. And I’m very happy because everyone thinks it’s okay to win, but it’s not that easy.
“Winning four titles is the merit of this team and I am happy. They are reliable guys who play, enjoy working, and suffering together.”
Up next for PSG is the Champions League quarter-final clash against high-flying Serie A side Atalanta in Lisbon on August 12.
