FC Barcelona found themselves in a mini-crisis this week after dropping out of the Spanish Supercup only for Xavi Hernandez to reject the managerial position.
And now, Barcelona’s board is in no-man’s land.
On one hand, they cannot keep Ernesto Valverde after publicly working behind his back.
On the other, they would like to wait for Xavi until the summer. But, it looks like Bartomeu found his solution.
The plan is to hire either Mauricio Pochettino or Quique Setien to lead the team forward, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.
It’s a risky one, too – Pochettino already rejected any possibilities of signing with Blaugrana in the past. As for Setien, he never led a club even close to Barca’s magnitude.
Interesting days ahead for Barca, that’s for sure.
