UEFA has announced that the Champions League quarter-finals, semi-finals and final will be held in Lisbon between August 12-23.
The Champions League will resume in August following an extended break due to the global pandemic.
Some sides have booked their place in the quarter-finals but there are still four matches remaining from the round of 16 fixtures.
The Champions League will resume between August 7-8, when the remaining round of 16 fixtures would be completed.
As per a statement on the UEFA website, there is still no decision on whether those games will take place at the hosts’ home venue or in Lisbon.
Holders Liverpool have been knocked out but the likes of PSG , Atalanta, Atletico Madrid and RB Leipzig have already booked their spots in the last eight.
That round of Champions League ties will take place between August 12-15 at either of Benfica’s Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica and Sporting’s Estadio Jose Alvalade.
The semi-final round will be held on August 18-19 with the Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica hosting the finale on August 23.
The biggest change is that the remainder of the Champions League will see a single-leg format used. Any fixture that ends in a stalemate will be decided via extra time or penalties.
There will also be five substitutions allowed in the remainder of the competition.
