Ukraine’s boss praises Italy

Andriy Shevchenko played for AC Milan in the Italian Lega Serie A and knows the “calcio” very well; he now coaches Ukraine national team

Former footballer Andriy Shevchenko is not stranger to Italian football fans.

The Ukranian player with AC Milan in the Lega Serie A from 199 to 2006 and once again from 2008 to 2009.

And now as the manager of the Ukraine national team, he will face off Italy tomorrow in Genoa.

“I’m very happy to be back in Italy, a country that has given me so much. It’s beautiful for me to bring my squad here and face Italy at this stadium,” he told Calcio Mercato.

“There are a lot of injured players, but I think Italy is full of talents, maybe they haven’t found an offensive player yet that gives an important impact.”

“However, there are so many talents, Italy always has good players, for example, Milan are doing well,” he praised the Italians.

“It’s difficult to explain if you can’t find an explanation for it, but I see players with potential, you have to give them some time”.
