Samuel Umtiti believes the addition of fellow French international colleague Antoine Griezmann to the Barcelona squad will be a no-brainer.
Griezmann, 28, was close to a switch to the Catalan giants last season, but the deal collapsed after the French forward decided to remain at Atletico Madrid.
However, Barcelona defender Umtiti hinted he would still like to play alongside his French teammate at the Camp Nou.
“I would be glad if Griezmann came to Barcelona, he has a place here,” he told Telefoot.
“I know that he is happy in Madrid and that he is very well there.
“He is at a team that plays for him,” he said via Marca.
Despite rejecting the offer to join the reigning Spanish Champions last summer, the Lyon defender reckoned Griezmann can still change his mind.
“In our careers, we have to make decisions that we sometimes regret,” he said.
One decision that Umtiti does not regret was to play for France during the World Cup with a knee problem that has interrupted this season with Barcelona.

“I took a risk because a World Cup is played every four years and you never know how many times you can play at one.
“It was a dream and I forced my left knee; things after got complicated but I do not regret my decision,” he stated.
Les Bleus are in action tonight against Iceland and would be aiming to build on their excellent start to the EURO 2020 qualifying series after dispatching Moldovia 4-1 in the first group game.
