After an excellent showing last night in a derby against Manchester United, Bukayo Saka is receiving praise from all sides.
Bukayo Saka is the new big thing at Arsenal.
While Arsenal’s academy produced some top talents over the years, mainly Wilshere (and Bellerin to some degree), the new kid looks better than all of them.
Bukayo Saka made an impression in the Europa League match by scoring and assisting twice.
Some good performances afterward, Lacazette’s injury and the youngster’s found himself starting against Manchester United.
However, he wasn’t intimidated by the atmosphere. Quite the opposite you can say, Saka shined under the bright lights of Old Trafford.
He even outshone his colleague, Nicolas Pepe, who was brought in for a fee of about €80 million.
Saka’s performance didn’t go unnoticed. Cesc Fabregas voiced his opinion on the promising dribbler.
Saka is a player. 18 years old showing great maturity 👏🏻

However, Fabregas isn’t the only one impressed. Perhaps the most important praise comes from the bench, and Emery looks satisfied with what he’s seen from the youngster.
The Spaniard was asked about Saka in a post-match conference. According to Metro, Emery replied:
“I think he’s working and improving, being mature and playing matches in front of each team, tonight it was Manchester United, but his work is natural.
“He is improving. He’s helping us now as an important player.
“We are going to be calm and patient with him.
“But if he deserves minutes to have that confidence to help us with this performance is fantastic for us.”
Manchester United and Arsenal put on an abysmal performance. Perhaps this is why Saka’s performance stood out even more.
Arsenal will now face Standard in Europa League clash, before hosting Bournemouth in an attempt to continue four straight matches without a loss in the league.
Emery is facing a lot of pressure, and he will hope that the team can perform up to their standard in the following couple of matches.
